To prepare an accurate NatHERS energy rating quote, please provide the following files and details:

Required Files:

• Architectural plans (PDF or DWG) — including:
  • Floor plans
  • Elevations
  • Sections
  • Site plan showing north orientation
• Window and door schedule (if not shown on plans)
• Building specifications (if available) — materials, wall/roof construction, insulation details, glazing types, etc.

Helpful Details (Optional but Recommended):

If the project includes extensions or renovations, indicate what parts are new vs. existing.

Project address or site location (for local climate zone)

Any design notes or variations that may affect thermal performance

The cost of a 7-Star NatHERS report varies depending on the size and complexity of your build (single storey, double storey, multi-unit, extensions/renovations). Below are typical price ranges:

• For single-dwelling homes (new builds): from approximately $350 to $660. 
• For double/triple storey homes: from approximately $450 to $880. 
• For multi-unit projects (apartments / units): from approximately $385 to $550 each. 
• Why prices vary so much? Because each project varies in design and complexity.

For most standard homes, you can expect to receive your Energy Report back within 1 to 3 working days of us receiving your final plans and payment.

We know speed is important, so we work efficiently to meet the following targets for different report types:

• Standard Single Level 7 Star Energy Reports: 1-2 working days
• Two & Tri Level 7 Star Energy Reports (up to 40sq): 1-2 working days
• Larger Two & Tri Level 7 Star Energy Reports (40sq to 60sq): 1-3 working days
• Section J Reports: 2-3 working days
• Deemed to Satisfy Reports (Extensions/Renovations): 1-2 working days
• BASIX Certificates: 2-3 working days
• Sustainable Design Assessments (inc. BESS, STORM): 2-5 working days

Please note that large, complex, or multi-unit apartment projects will require a quote and may take longer.
